Yes, today is my last day at work before my 2 weeks holidays where I will kick back and relax as much as I can before going to the french alps. Unfortunately I havent had time to prepare all I wanted before holidays, so these things will have to wait until next year.

Two days ago it was discovered that there was a bug in the starbase reactors that would let you create high end materials for T2 production without actually fuelling it with the necessary compounds. This exploit has, according to the reporter, been around since 2004 and also been used by a numerous people, corps and alliances.

According to the post on another fansite by a person who claims he found it, the revenue of this exploit since 2004 estimates to several thousands of billions of ISK.

CCP made a post about it here and decided to ban the players and their accounts after a days worth of investigation in the matter. As a result, most of the T2 market prices has now gone drastically up in price. I guess this is due to a few things. First of all I believe that speculation is behind the bigger part of the price increase, but naturally, it will also be because of this exploit as the availability of these components will drop quite fast and hence prices go up.

Anyway. Another dark day for New Eden nontheless. No wonder all those T2 BPO’s always sold for so silly amounts, anyone with that much money could easily buy them all. The market is indeed screwed. Makes me wonder if the best way forward wouldnt be to just put those BPO’s bought from dirty money back in the agent lottery again.

Hi!

A few days ago, EVE-Sweden.com went down for unknown reasons. It seems it had to do with a server restart my ISP did and after server came back up something was screwed up with the rails settings. I found a workaround for it, but who knows how long it will stay up now.

I have some plans of moving host, or framework, or something.. we’ll see. Not much else than some gaming has been going on lately (stuffed with RL work) so we’ll see what happens this christmas.

Recently I have started to listen in to the different EVE podcasts out there with great amusement. Unfortunately, it seems them all have gone quiet. What happened guys? Busy IRL it would seem, just like myself. Been home sick and as soon as I got better the kids got sick, so had to stay home with them for a few days.

December is approaching faster than a polycarbed vagabond, so hopefully the winter break will bring some nice stuff over here. A little competition will be held during the days off work this christmas for members here so stay tuned. Some decent prices are promised so checkout the forums for more info.

I’m soon going to Iceland, yes I know the timing is bad – Fanfest was last weekend. I go with my job tho, so it will be conferences and other fun stuff there but I will definitely visit CCP offices!

Oh! I could’nt go to sleep so I stayed up and worked with a few projects of mine and now it’s time to install the latest patch from CCP, Quantum Rise!

It’s going to be exciting to see how weapon grouping works, and to see if EVE has become any faster. A few other updates, I’m working on a new EVE project that will hopefully be up before the end of the year. Nice as hell, it’s a webapp that will run on Django. Right after this I will also look over the members section and port it to the same tool.

Hey ya’ll!

Been a while since last, as usual, things seems to be never ending. The only hope for a breather is christmas, which will be a nice downtime for me.

Oh well, as of tonight and about 6 hours back, EVE have been hit by serious network lag. Something is seriously wrong as TQ is not accepting more than 13k players at the time. During the last hour or so I have reconnected almost 20 times. Now, 22:49 CET, the servers are down for reboot once again (second unscheduled reboot today) so hoping they fixed the lag issue this time.

Lots of rumors are going around it has to do with GBC reinforcements taken to the front where they’ve lost many ships the last days. That is, of course, a big pile of shit as you might have guessed. Funny anyhow :-) There were actually some serious fighting over the last couple of days over at E-O. GBC forces have been heavily in combat with NC troops. Go check out the details over at BoB’s killboard and Mosus Mihi’s killboard. Among a few, several carriers, dreadnaughts, motherships and even a titan has gone down!

The strong EVE voice out in the eter CrazyKinux has made a sweet little thing called the blogroll that he maintains over at his site. This is basically a list of all EVE related blogs out there today and is a great way to inject yourself with more EVE related news.

He has also setup a speedlinking list which basically is a set of useful links to related EVE stuff. Very handy neat thingie basically. Go check them all out over at his little hut.

Oh well, CCP decided to nerf skill training this time. I cant say I fancy their actions on this one as I think its one of the cool things that makes EVE a better game than the rest MMOs. Its now however a fact from today onwards, if your accout goes inactive, your skill training will stop immediately.

CCP, rethink this one for next patch. If this is for the sake of money, you wont get more from me because of it.

Another patch from CCP that will hopefull fix Jita problems even more, I must say that I have been happy with the lag last few days.

Some other stuff in there as well, one cool thing is the ability to add systems to avoid in autopilot. That will be a very welcome feature. Nice, me likes.
